Kimball and Beecher Family Dentistry Receives Outstanding Business and Industry Award from Community Colleges for Iowa

WATERLOO–Kimball and Beecher Family Dentistry has been honored with the Outstanding Business and Industry Award from Community Colleges for Iowa for their support of and long-standing partnership with Hawkeye Community College.
The award is given to a business or industry partner of one of Iowa’s community colleges who has gone above and beyond to impact students and their community.
Dr. Beau Beecher has gone above and beyond to impact students and the community where he grew up. Dr. Beecher returned to the Cedar Valley after college to build a dental practice and has expanded that practice to multiple locations that serve both urban and rural Iowa residents. In addition to owning and operating a large multi-practice dental business, Dr. Beecher has supervised Hawkeye students in both the dental assisting and dental hygiene clinics as they learn to become dental professionals in the live-patient care setting on the main campus. The Kimball and Beecher Group also works collaboratively with iSmile, a subsidiary of the Black Hawk County Department of Public Health, in providing annual free dental care to kids every February.
Dr. Beecher provided leadership in the construction and renovation project of Hawkeye’s new dental clinic, which opened in August 2022. When another large donor offered to provide matching funds up to $250,000 for the project, Dr. Beecher served as a partner in the fundraising effort, personally donating a significant gift to this project in the names of various individuals who are both alumni of Hawkeye and work for Kimball & Beecher Family Dentistry.
Dr. Beecher continues to be an active partner on the Hawkeye Community College Foundation board, serving as the president-elect.
“Hawkeye Community College and the Iowa Community Colleges play a critical role in keeping young adults in Iowa,” Dr. Beecher said. “The work they do not only strengthens businesses, but they change lives. Kimball and Beecher Family Dentistry is proud to be a partner with Hawkeye Community College.”
Kimball and Beecher Family Dentistry currently operates seven locations across Iowa: Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, Marshalltown, Des Moines, Iowa City, and Bettendorf.
The award was presented during the Community Colleges for Iowa Convention and Tradeshow on November 29, 2023, in Des Moines.
